Fone Fix Repair Terms & Conditions

1. Repair Warranty:
1.1. All parts and labour used for repair are covered under a 1 year warranty.
1.2. Fone Fix is not responsible for voiding any existing warranty devices with manufactures, network providers or insurance policies as a result of any repair, product or service.
1.3. Warranty repairs can only be issued after a diagnostic assessment by a FoneFix authorised technician.
1.4. Additional charges will apply for devices experiencing issues that are not related to the initial service.
Your warranty will be voided if,
1.5. Devices that experience additional issues after repair are not covered under warranty.
1.6. Your device and/or replaced parts show signs of any physical damage, liquid damage or software misuse regardless of how the damage occurred, related or unrelated to the initial repaired fault.
1.7. The devices have been serviced by a third party.
1.8. We are unable to fully test the device before or after a service.
1.9. The replaced components are fully operational.
1.10. The serial/imei number does not match the device serviced.
1.11. The device has had call barring activated by its network or is locked with any kind of security ID.

2. Refunds & Returns
Refunds & Returns are voided if:
2.2. The warranty policy has not been met.
2.3. The warranty period has expired.
2.5. Your service was for data recovery, you have paid and the data has left our store.
2.6. Your service was for data recovery and 24 hours have passed after receiving the signed terms and conditions.
2.7. You do not have the receipt.

3. Pricing & Quotations:
3.1. Pricing and quotations are approximate and are subject to change at any time for all products and services. Customers will be notified if there is a change to the initially quoted price.

4. Payment:
General Repairs:
4.1. For general repairs, payment is required upon collection of the completed repair or service.
4.2. We do not take payments over the phone. We only accept PAY ID bank transfers as digital payment in the event this cannot be made in person.
4.3. Devices are held until we have received full payment in cleared funds.
Company Account Holder Repairs:
3.4. Invoices are payable within 30 days of issue. All account holders receive a 10% discount on all repairs and services.

5. Additional Fees:
Additional Fees may apply for any of the following:
5.1. Late invoice payment $30
5.2. Postage and shipping handling fee: $20 (free for account holders located in Sydney CBD)
5.3. Service fee for devices beyond repair $50
5.4. Late collection handling fee $50

6. Parts:
6.1. Only official service centres offer “original parts”. Phone companies and manufacturers do not sell parts for their devices. All the parts used by Fone Fix have been assembled to the highest quality and put through a rigorous testing process before installation and come with a 1 year warranty.

7. Network Unlocking:
7.1. Unlock services can be rejected for any reason. If the unlock is rejected due to the device being registered as lost, stolen, blacklisted, blocked or barred for any reason no refund can be issued.
7.2. Once an unlock has been processed, it can’t be cancelled.
7.3.. Unlocking the network will only allow devices to accept different carriers, it does not cover any other kind of lock including FRP locks, Passcodes, Personal Accounts, PUK locks and phone barring.

8. Turnaround Time:
8.1. Turnaround time is approximate and is subject to change for all services.
9. Collection:
9.1. You will have 30 days to collect your device after the service completion date.
9.2. Any completed services that are not collected within 30 days. Late collection handling fee will be charged.
9.3. Any completed services that are not collected within 90 days may be surrendered and recycled.
9.4. We must receive authorization before a completed service can be collected by a third party. The nominated third party must provide identification upon collection.

10. Shipping:
10.1. Fone Fix does not cover any outgoing shipping costs including failed warranty claims and devices that have been assessed as beyond economic repair.
10.2. Handling fee plus shipping costs may apply.
10.3. For account holders, free shipping is available within Sydney CBD.

11. Repair Notice:
11.1. Fone Fix is not responsible for any damage caused to the device as a result of any repair, product or service.
11.2. Fone Fix is not responsible for any damage or loss of any kind as a result of repair, service or shipping error.
11.4. Due to the nature of modern electronic design and how repairs are now performed, in particular screen and battery replacements. Once the repair has commenced, regardless of the outcome, We cannot guarantee the device can be returned in the same condition as when it arrived. In some rare instances, devices can be rendered non functional and beyond economic repair.
11.1. Goods presented for repair may be repaired using refurbished parts of the same type. Devices that require “original parts” must be taken to the manufacture of the product directly for servicing.
11.2. During the process of repair, some or all of your stored data may be lost. This is an extremely rare occurrence but as good practice highly recommend that you have saved this data elsewhere prior to repair.

12. Physical Security:
12.1. Rigorous security procedures are followed at all times during each repair at any Fone Fix store. This helps minimise the risk of your device getting misplaced, lost in transit or stolen. It is the customers responsibility to ensure they have the appropriate personal insurance cover for the device in any of these events.

12. Service Location:
12.1. Services may on occasion need to be completed at another Fone Fix branch. In this event Fone Fix will cover any courier costs between service locations.

Fone Fix Data Recovery Terms & Conditions

1. Data Recovery
1.1. You will need to provide one strong form of government issued identification such as a driver’s license or passport. This must include your name, date of birth, signature and current address. A scanned copy of your ID is kept on record.
1.2. No repair processes are included in data recovery attempts. These services are offered separately.
1.3. Fone Fix is not responsible for voiding any existing warranty as a function of the data recovery service.
1.4. In no event is Fone Fix liable for any loss of data, damage to the device, loss of revenue or profit, or any other consequence of the service provided in the attempt to recover your lost data.
1.5. Fone Fix will never proceed with a data recovery service if it is clear that anyone’s privacy is being violated or compromised or if the law is being broken. If during the process of data recovery we have any reason to believe someone’s privacy may be compromised or we uncover anything that indicates illegality, the data recovery work will immediately cease, any fees charged will be non-refundable and you will be notified of our findings.
1.6. You are responsible for ensuring that the device belongs to you personally. (If any 3rd party owns the device they will need to bring the device in themselves – this is to ensure that there is no chance of anyone’s privacy being violated or compromised). It is your responsibility to disclose this information and in any event that the data recovery has violated or compromised a person’s privacy, you take full responsibility. It is your responsibility to ensure that the device has not been obtained illegitimately for the purpose of recovering data that does not belong to you. This is a criminal act and you will be held fully accountable for any legal action that may result from doing so.
1.7. All data is passcode protected while stored on any Fone Fix hard drive. After your data has been recovered and you have received it, your stored data will be automatically deleted after 7 days.
1.8. Data recovery deposit – A deposit of $100 may be required prior to a data recovery service.This deposit is not refundable due to a change of mind or cancelation for any reason. In the event of a successful recovery, this deposit is credited towards the final service amount. In the event of an unsuccessful recovery attempt, this deposit is refunded in full.
1.9. Additional Charges – You will be charged $200 in addition to the data recovery costs If you cannot remember your passcode or your passcode needs to be bypassed to recover the data.
1.10. Cancellation fee – 24 hours after receiving the signed terms and conditions, we cannot provide you with a refund if you no longer require the service for any reason. In this event any deposit or existing payment you have made will be withheld indefinitely.
1.11. Full payment is required prior to the release of your recovered data. Payment must be made in store or by pay ID bank transfer. We do not accept payments via phone.
1.12. Our “No-data, no-fee” policy applies for every recovery attempt.
1.13. Once the recovery is complete, you are welcome to examine the data prior to payment and collection. Once the data has been taken off our premises including being sent by post, collected by a courier or by a nominated person, there is no refund for any reason.
1.14. It is the customer’s responsibility to provide a compatible storage device (Mac & Windows) with enough capacity for the transfer of recovered data. In some instances, this must be a device of the same manufacture with adequate storage available for the transfer.
1.15. Deleted data recovery is not included and is charged separately.
1.16. The data recovery price is $300.00 inc GST for any recoverable data.
1.17. Turnaround times are approximate and subject to change at any time. Generally data recovery services take between 7-14 to complete. For express services the turnaround time is 1-2 days and the price is $1000.
